Forensic Assessment of Block Retaining Wall

OB Engineering Group was engaged to undertake a forensic assessment of an existing retaining wall at a residential property in Seaview Downs following observed deterioration and failure associated with invasive vine growth penetrating the wall structure. The assessment was commissioned to determine the cause of the damage, assess the structural implications, and document the wall’s condition for reporting and decision-making purposes.

The scope of works included a detailed site inspection, identification of failure mechanisms related to vegetation intrusion, and evaluation of the retaining wall’s capacity to resist earth pressures in its compromised state.
