Broken Hill Mines – Structural Assessment

OB Engineering Group was engaged to undertake an forensic assessment of the existing Run-of-Mine (ROM) bin in Broken Hill, New South Wales. The purpose of the structural assessment was to evaluate the current structural condition of the asset, determine its remaining service life, and provide recommendations to extend operational performance.

Guidance was also provided for reinforcement options, maintenance strategies, and possible modifications to optimise the bin’s performance and extend the life of the ROM bin

The project delivered the client with a clear understanding of the asset’s condition and practical measures to maintain safe and efficient operations. Through this forensic assessment, OB Engineering supported the long-term performance of critical resource infrastructure in a regional setting.
